DC Doda presides over Mega Grievances Redressal camp at Bhatoli Chilli Pingal of Sub Division Gandoh

Doda : To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today visited one of the remotest villages of Gandoh sub division and presided over a mega grievance redressal camp held at Eid gah Park Batholi.
The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public, who participated to highlight issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.The DC, after giving patient hearing to all the issues raised during the proceedings, addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot, while issues requiring redress at higher level were also noted.
Since the roads are essential for development of any area, the DC issued directions to the PWD (R&B) department to immediately upgrade the existing road from Malik Pura to Bhatoli. Besides, he set a deadline of November 30, 2023 for completion of Manoo-Haddle road which is being executed by PMGSY Division Thathri.
The DC directed ACD and BDO to formulate a holistic plan for Chillipingal Block included in the Aspirational Block Development Programme to bridge the development gaps in the area. For being a predominantly ST populated Block, the funds from the Tribal Sub Plan shall be utilized for infrastructural development, he said.
The DC informed the people that the GIS based attendance system has been started in the whole district which has improved the attendance of employees in the government departments.Listing measures taken for effective governance, the DC said that the district administration is committed to holistic development of the area and urged people to proactively support it in the war launched against the drug menace.
Many grievances were redressed on the spot. It was announced that a Banking Unit of J&K Bank will be made operational soon in the area to cater to the banking needs of the locals.Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Abdul Qayoom, sought cooperation of people with the law enforcement agencies in eradicating the menace of drugs in the area.
He warned the anti social elements of strict action if they don’t shun the criminal and anti social mentality.The DC was accompanied by SEs PWD, PMGSY and PHE. Besides SDM, ACD, ACP, CMO, CEO, CAHO, CAO, CHO and other district and sub divisional level officers were present in the Block Diwas.
