Sheep Husbandry Bandipora conducts Awareness Camp at Gamroo

Bandipora : The Sheep Husbandry Department Bandipora on Friday organised an Awareness cum Sensitization camp for Sheep breeders at Sheep Development Block (SDB) Gamroo. The camp witnessed an overwhelming participation of progressive sheep breeders, aspiring entrepreneurs, members of SHG’s & FPO’s.

On the occasion, participants were sensitised about various income generation schemes of the Department and scientific methods of sheep rearing. Dr Pervaiz Ahmad Veterinary Assistant surgeon threw a detailed light on the importance of UID tagging and registration of livestock on the INAPH portal.

He also laid emphasis on the insurance of livestock on subsidised basis under CSS- NLM and advised the farmers to avail the benefit of the scheme. The grievances/ demands put forth by the participating farmers were redressed on spot.

The event concluded with the distribution of seed kits of high yielding perennial fodder Rye grass among the participating farmers.
