Nowshera forest division conducts series of plantation drives under one beat guard one village

Rajouri : A drive, under the theme “One Beat Guard One Village” was conducted on Monday here at village Upper Bhajwal of Sunderbani Range. Sarpanch Panchayat Lower Bhajwal-A, Surjeet Sudan and other PRI members and a large number of villagers took part in the drive.

Beat Guard, Kuldip Kumar Bhajwal conducted the drive with the help of Block Forest Officer Kangri S. Didar Singh and other staff members. A number of fruit, medicinal and fodder plants were planted on the occasion.

Plants and seed balls of different species were planted and distributed among the participants.Similar plantation drives ”One Beat Guard One Village” Programme ertr also conducted in village Dhroon of Panchyat Prat and village Ranthal Panchyat Kotekabu in which Mir Hussain Naib Sarpanch, Panchsyat Prat and Om Parkash, Sarpanch Kotekabu respectively along with PRIs members and other local public also participated in the plantation drive at their respective places.

In which plants and seed balls of different species are planted and distributed among the participants. Both the plantation drives are conducted by Block Forest Officer, Dharamsal Ved Parkash along with the active support of concerned beat guards.

Another plantation drive under “One Beat Guard One Village” Programme is also organized at Village Channi Panchyat Channi-B in the presence of Anita Sharma Sarpanch Channi-B, other PRI’s members and local public of the area.

In which plants and seed balls of different species are planted and distributed among the participants.The plantation drive is conducted by Block Forest Officer, Sunderbani S. Rangeel Singh along with the active support of Yash Paul beat guard Channi.

The Sarpanches PRI members and general public of the area lauded the efforts of Forest department for increasing the green cover of the area and thanked Sh.Vivek Verma IFS Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri , Neelima Shah IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera and Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunderbani for organising these plantation drives for creation of awareness among the villagers about the importance of forest, soil and it’s direct relation with the rainfall and other climatic factors which directly influence the farm productivity.

The whole drive was conducted under the direct supervision of Vivek Verma, Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Neelima Shah IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera.
