Mega Block Diwas meeting held at Maitra
DC listens to people’s grievances

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today participated in weekly Mega Block Diwas meeting at Maitra and resolved grievances, especially basic issues of the general public at their doorsteps.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also informed the PRIs and people about the activities being conducted in connection with Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya, Power @ 2047 and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign being held under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
DDC Councillor, Renuka Katoch , Addl. Deputy Commissioner, GM, DIC, Vishwajeet, ACD Ashok Katoch, CEO, Dev Anand, CMO, Dr. Kamal Zadoo, DSWO, Rahul Gupta, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer, REW, BDO, Ramban, Engineers of other departments, PRIs and several other officers and general public attended the Block Diwas meeting.
Highlighting the steps taken by the District Administration to resolve issues of general public, the DC asked the PRIs to sensitize the people about different beneficiary and job oriented schemes launched by the Government for welfare of youth, poor and deprived sections.
The DC also took a brief appraisal from concerned officers about JJM and other newly sanctioned and ongoing schemes especially pertaining to basic facilities like water supply and road connectivity.
The DC directed Executing Agencies, especially Executive Engineer REW, to immediately complete the tendering process of all works sanctioned under PRIs Area Development Fund.
He further impressed upon the District and Sectoral officers to resolve the issues of general public pertaining to their respective departments on priority basis.
The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the significance of online services being provided by the different departments to make the system more transparent and accountable.
He asked the people to avail the benefits of the same and sensitised the youth about the PMEGP, Tajsawani, PM- SEHAT, e-Shram and self employment and other beneficiary oriented schemes.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the demands highlighted by the PRIs and people of different Panchayats of Ramban block and Ramban town like Maitra, Kariya, Souni, Halla, Karoal, Neera, Seri and Sancha.
They demanded early completion of water supply scheme Souni, NTPHC Halla, sanction of more Amrit Sarovar ponds, meeting shortage of staff in schools and health institutions etc.
The DC directed PMGSY department to start restoration work on Maitra -Blawat and Seri –Sancha road. He also directed Executive Engineer Jal Shakti to provide adequate water supply to ward no 3 in Maitra Panchayat and ward no 6 in Ramban town.
The DC impressed upon the PRIs to encourage the youth to take advantage of schemes being implemented by different departments under Mission Youth & KVIC in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner resolved most of the issues on the spot pertaining to different departments besides passing strict instructions to those concerned for resolving all remaining issues on priority basis.
