Weekly Block Diwas: DC Sachin Kumar Vaishya listens to people’s issues at Udhampur

Udhampur : A Public grievances cum redressal camp was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya here at Block Head Quarter Kallar, Udhampur.DDC Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand; BDC Chairman, Balwan Singh; DDC Councillor, Puran Chand and other senior officers besides PRI members participated in the camp.
They projected several demands and issues and demanded up-gradation of Government Primary School to Middle School at Rehmbal, Construction of road from Battal Ballian to Thanote, release of Land compensation, adequate staff in schools, Widening of road from Ice factory to Chakhar.
The PRI members also demanded construction of new link roads and blacktoping of existing roads, Blacking and maintenance of Jail road, Construction of lane drain at Sunari, meeting shortage of drinking water supply in Sunari, Provision of electricity poles and Transformer, Appointment of veterinary doctor, Construction of Foot bridge over nallah, Construction of panchayat ghar building, Construction of road from battal ballian to industrial area, Repair of hand pumps, Opening of ration depot, regulation of Traffic on Dhar road, Construction of play fields Under Khelo India, adequate staff in Health, PHE and Animal Husbandry Departments, Installation of solar light at Jagnoo Chowk etc.
After listening to their demands and issues, the DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing directions to the concerned officers.He directed the officers to resolve the public issues within the stipulated time frame. He laid emphasis on efficient delivery of public services.
