DDC Reasi Vishesh Paul Mahajan inaugurates Panchayat Ghar at Daroor in Katra Block

Reasi : District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, along with ACD Anirudh Rai and SDM Katra inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Ghar at Purana Droor Panchayat in Katra Block.

Equipped with modern facilities, the Pyt Ghar has been completed at a cost of Rs 33 lakh. The facility has been designed to best cater to the needs of PRI members, reflecting the administration’s commitment to bolster grassroots democracy.

DDC Mahajan, after the inauguration, highlighted the administration’s dedication to support Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and infrastructure development as a top priority. He suggested for using the available computers as e-library for local students to fostering education.

DDC Mahajan urged locals to utilize the Panchayat Ghar for revenue generation and for the welfare of community as a whole. Additionally, he addressed residents, especially women, urging them to take advantage of women-oriented schemes and advised Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to craft unique & decorative items.

During the inauguration ceremony, PRI members and other locals raised various developmental and administrative concerns, to which DDC Mahajan assured that all necessary steps would be taken to address the basic and genuine demands of the general public on a priority basis.

He said UT administration and district administration remains committed to ensuring the holistic development of the region, with a focus on uplifting rural areas. On the occasion, SDM Katra Deepak Dubey, BDO Katra Manoj Raina, Sarpanch Rekha Devi, Panch Sohan Singh and other officers were present.
