DDC Rajouri lays foundation stone of Water Supply Scheme Brevi under Jal Jeevan Mission

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today laid the foundation stone of the Water Supply Scheme Brevi under Jal Jeevan Mission. The project, estimated to cost Rs 5.78 crore, will include a bore well for village Panjah and Bursian, 5000-gallon capacity Rapid Sand filtration plant for Bravei on Solki Nallah, and laying of water supply pipes. With the commencement of this project, the water shortage issue in the area is expected to be mitigated to a considerable extent. The total FHTCs to be provided is 187.
The project is a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to provide clean drinking water to every household, as envisioned under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The mission aims to provide tap water supply to all rural households by 2024, ensuring drinking water security and improving the health and well-being of people in rural areas.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, said, “The Water Supply Scheme Brevi is a vital step towards fulfilling the government’s vision of providing clean drinking water to all households.
With this project, we hope to alleviate the water shortage issue faced by the residents of the area to a significant extent.”The project is expected to benefit a large number of residents in the area, who have been facing water scarcity for a long time.
The completion of this project will provide a reliable and sustainable source of clean drinking water to the residents, improving their quality of life.The DDC also highlighted that a significant number of schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission are currently underway in the sub-division of Kalakote.
He expressed his optimism that once these schemes are completed, the water shortage issue in the area will be completely resolved. “The laying of the foundation stone for the Water Supply Scheme Brevi is just one step towards providing clean drinking water to the residents of the area.
We are committed to ensure that every household in the area has access to safe and clean drinking water,” he added.The local DDC Member, Surekha Thakur, BDC Chairperson, Babu Khan, concerned Sarpanchs and panches, besides ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; EXN Jal Shakti, Vipin Langeh, AEE concerned and a large number of public of the area was present on the occasion.
