DC Rajouri Vikas Kundal reviews implementation of PMFME scheme

Rajouri : Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) scheme in the district. Officers present in the meeting were DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; CHO, Madan Lal; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other concerned officers.

Speaking at the meeting, the DC said the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme has been launched under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to identify food products for districts keeping in view the existing clusters and availability of raw material.

He said the PMFME is aimed at establishing Micro Food Processing Industries at Micro/Village level through individuals, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Cooperatives and Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs).

Under the programme, 35 per cent subsidy/capital support with a ceiling of Rs 10 lakh is being provided to the beneficiaries.The DC also asked the concerned officers to give wide publicity to the scheme and ensure that maximum beneficiaries are covered under the scheme.
