DC Bandipora Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather reviews progress of Jal Shakti & I&FC works

Ensure completion of all works within the set timeline: Shakeel Ul Rehman

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather today convened a meeting to conduct a comprehensive review of the Jal Shakti and Irrigation and Flood Control Departments to assess their performance and identify areas for improvement. The meeting discussed different programmes and heads operational in I&FC including AIBP, UT CAPEX, NABARD, District CAPEX, M&R, UNTIED and PRI Grants besides physical and financial progress of Works of Jal Shakti Department including JJM.
It was given out that under District Capex-irrigation Sector Bandipora, 100 percent work has been completed for spot treatment of Jinder Khul, restoration of Aragam Khul and construction of lining wall on Gadder Khul at Ajar. Reviewing the physical and financial progress of the works taken up under NHPC funded projects, the meeting was informed that expenditure of 129.55 cr has been made out of 134.87 cr project cost.
The officers apprised the chair that work on the majority of projects has been completed and is near completion for the rest of the projects. It was informed that in Gurez Sub Division, 100 percent work has been completed for WSS Sheikhpora, WSS Sudi Kilshay, Refuji Ist, Check Beyant, Mazgund Ist, Gratnallah Badugam, Sardaab, Gulshanpora, Baduaab Agnikoot, and WSS New Colony Dawar.
The DC, on the occasion, emphasized coordination among relevant agencies and stakeholders for timely completion of projects. He asked the concerned to remove bottlenecks and ensure completion of all works within the set timeline.
The meeting was attended by CPO Bandipora Mohd Maqbool, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti/ I&FC Bandipora Mohd Mutayib, Executive Engineer I&FC Sumbal Fida Hussain, Executive Engineer R&B Mohd Assadullah and other concerned.
