Finalization of Export Promotion plan discussed in Udhampur

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a pivotal meeting in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex to finalize the Export Promotion Plan. The meeting encompassed a thorough assessment of measures to enhance the export potential of products unique to the region.  A comprehensive discussion ensued, delving into the finer points of finalizing the District Export Action Plan.

The DC emphasized the establishment of a Common Facility Centre dedicated to packaging and processing garlic products, pickles, and Kalari for export purposes. Additionally, there was a concerted focus on harnessing tourism opportunities while ensuring attractive packaging and strict adherence to quality standards.

The DC underscored the necessity of setting up a Milk Processing Unit to fortify the supply chain effectively. Moreover, directives were issued to stakeholder departments to organize workshops and awareness programs designed to motivate and support local farmers.
