Deputy Commissioner Poonch visits Panchayat Degwar Maldaylian to inaugurate fifth phase of Kissan Sampark Abhiyan

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary today inaugurated the three-day training program under fifth phase of the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan at Panchayat Degwar Maldaylian.
The scheme has been launched to further push the development of agriculture and allied sectors through awareness, training and extension under various central and UT sector schemes and interventions and to achieve the doubling of the farmers’ income.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Kumar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Sheikh Mohd Unis, LDM JK Bank, Ashutosh Raj Koul, Branch Manager J&K Bank Ajote, Aftab Ahmed, ABA J&K Bank Ajote, Manzoor Ahmed beside Sarpanch Degwar Parvinder singh, villagers and other concerned officers were present.
In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of the scheme, urging farmers, especially youth, to take advantage of the opportunity to register them on the DAKSH PORTAL. This will enable them to benefit from the scheme and improve their economic conditions, he said.
The Chief Horticulture Officer/DNO KISSAN SAMPARK ABHIYAN Sanjeev Kumar, enlightened the farmers about the purpose of the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan. He emphasized the need to make farmers aware of various projects approved under HADP and other schemes in Agriculture and other allied sectors.
The program also witnessed the distribution of KCCs among farmers, which is expected to boost agriculture production and productivity in the district by providing timely credit to purchase vital farm inputs.
The Deputy Commissioner planted a lemon plant in Degwar Panchayat and sent a message to farmers and the public to opt for the horticulture sector. This will not only promote horticulture but also encourage the adoption of sustainable practices in agriculture.
The Kissan Sampark Abhiyan is expected to be a game-changer for agriculture and allied sectors in the coming years. The 29 projects being implemented under HADP will ensure that each village in the district is seen as a center of rural prosperity, further strengthening agriculture and allied sectors to achieve the goal of inclusive growth.
The PRIs and farmers were urged to take advantage of the scheme and play their part in boosting agriculture production and productivity in the district.Overall, the launch of the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan is a significant step towards the development of the agriculture sector in Poonch, and it is expected to benefit farmers and the local community in the years to come.
