DDC Kupwara Ayushi Sudan chairs Mega Block Diwas at Tarathpora

Asks unemployed youth to come forward & take benefit under government’s self-employment schemes

Kupwara : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today chaired a Mega Block Diwas function at Block Headquarter Tarathpora of the district to listen to the developmental issues of the people at their doorsteps.
ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; ACD Kupwara, CEO, CHO, CAO, Ex. Engineer PDD Handwara, BDO, BMO, besides, Representatives from different departments, BDC Chairperson, PRIs and people in large numbers attended the block diwas function.
Addressing the function, the DDC said that the Govt has various schemes like HADP and PMEGP in place which are aimed at providing self-employment opportunities to the unemployed educated youth.
She said that there is an ample scope of employment generation from Animal and Sheep Husbandry sectors in Kupwara district and hoped that maximum FPOs should be established under these sectors.
She appealed to the unemployed youth to come forward to take benefit under these schemes.The DDC directed the officers and field functionaries to ensure outreach of the Government schemes to the targeted beneficiaries.
Regarding Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week, the DDC said that the Week is celebrated with an aim to deliver the benefits of various Government schemes to the deserving people through transparent mode.
She said that the majority of the services like ration card, Intikhaab, Fard etc have been made available through online mode which are delivered to the people at their doorsteps.
Regarding Drug Menace, the DDC said that the District Administration Kupwara and Police are always available to help the drug victims to come out of the menace and live a dignified life. She said that the Drug De-addiction Centres are already functional both at Kupwara and Handwara for proper treatment and rehabilitation of the drug abuse victims.
Earlier, BDC Chairperson, PRIs and local residents of Tarathpora area spoke and raised the developmental issues of the area. The DDC heard their issues patiently and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all genuine issues raised are resolved well in time.
Earlier, the DDC inspected different stalls of various departments including ICDS, Revenue, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Agriculture, CSC and Floriculture departments and got feedback from the concerned officers regarding the progress of the schemes.
