Doda Administration listens to Public Grievances at Weekly Block Diwas events

Doda : To address the concerns and aspirations of the public, the District Administration of Doda today organised weekly Block Diwas programmes at five different locations across the district.The teams of officers actively listened to the genuine issues raised by the attendees and engaged in discussions to formulate a comprehensive development plan for the Panchayats.
The Block Diwas programme, held every Wednesday, serves as a regular platform for residents to voice their grievances.This week the programme was organised at BLOCK headquarters in Bhalla, sub-division Bhaderwah; Panchayat Ghar Ganota, Sub-Division Assar; Tehsil Headquarters Thathri, sub-division Thathri; Gundna block and Tehsil Gundna and village Bharthi, sub-division Gandoh.
Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, presided over the Block Diwas program held at Gundna block and listened to the issues of public importance and demands.The attendees demanded adequate health staff, improved road infrastructure, access to clean water, and implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA).
The participants also emphasized the importance of promoting sports activities in the area.Meanwhile, the DC inspected the functioning of local Government High School and Primary Health center (PHC), besides evaluating the construction of a new PHC.
A large number of people attended the Block Diwas at all designated locations seeking the upgradation infrastructure in healthcare and education, as well as improved road connectivity, water supply, and electricity facilities. Various demands were raised during the programme, such as the repair of roads, the execution of MGNREGA projects, and the enhancement of electric poles, among others.
