Anantnag : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singhla today convened an introductory meeting of the district and sectoral officers at Dak Bangalow Khanabal, here. At the outset, the DDC enjoined upon the officers to expedite the pace of official work and ensure prompt resonse to the issues and demands received by the public offices. He assured full support  from his side in this regard. With regard to the smooth implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act, Dr Singhla directed the officers to ensure adequate publicity of all provisions of the act pertaining to respective offices in light of the latest government circulars and orders besides dedicating a section in each office which will cater to the applications or issues received under the act. While emphasising on the redressal of grievances received on LGs Grievance Portal, he stressed to provide quality response in a time bound manner besides categorically flagging the non-feasible demands wherever encountered. However, the applicant should not suffer unnecessarily, he added. Dr. Singhla also called for the establishment of district level grievance cell with provisions for proper monitoring and follow up. During the proceedings, the officers put forth their valuable suggestions besides the immediate issues being faced by them were also discussed elaborately. The meeting was attended by ADC(G), ACD, SDMs,CMO, CPO, CAO, DSHO, CAHO, DMO, AD Fisheries, concerned engineers of PDD, R & B, PMGSY, Tehsildars and other sectoral and district officers.
