DC Udhampur inspects arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra along NH -44

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna, on Monday conducted an exhaustive tour of National Highway from Tikri to Chennani and inspected the logistic arrangements put in place for Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatras 2022.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Syed Khan and other officers, the DC took stock of the facilities in Lodgment Centres , provision of cleanliness at Langars sites and community sanitary Complexes established for the convenience of Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims.

The Deputy Commissioner had a detailed review of the available infrastructure and requisite facilities in the designated Lodgment Centres /Community Sanitary Complexes. The DC also enquired about the status of Augmentation of drinking water supply, sanitation, electricity, lodging, availability of bedding capacity etc in the centres.

The DC asked the concerned officers to ensure adequate arrangements in these designated Centres.The DC stated that the District Administration will make all efforts for providing best facilities to the yatris and make provision of other basic amenities also.

CEO Municipality, Executive Engineer, PHE, PDD, PWD and Tehsildar Udhampur were directed to ensure fool-proof arrangements of all the basic amenities wherever required well in advance.The directed the concerned officers for formulating comprehensive sanitation, health, traffic management and lodging plan for the smooth conduct of yatra.
