DC Samba Abhishek Sharma reviews preparations for Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign

Samba : Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, chaired a meeting to review preparations for the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, which is to be observed across all districts, as a culmination to Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The DC directed all concerned authorities to ensure the completion of Amrit Sarovars and accelerate the Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) by the specified timeline of August 8th, 2023. The DC called for prompt action to achieve Open Defecation Free Plus (ODF+) status.
All stakeholders were instructed to work towards achieving the goal of ODF+ model declaration by August 8th, 2023.The DC directed to have a Sila Phalkam (Memorial Plaque) constructed at all villages/Gram Panchayats of District Samba in a time-bound manner.The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer PWD, all BDOs, AEEs, AEs and other concerned officials.
