DC Poonch Inder Jeet reviews Covid vaccination status

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today reviewed Covid-19 mitigation measures in the district here at a meeting.The meeting was attended by SSP Dr. Vinod Kumar, ADC Poonch, Dr. Basharat Hussain, PO, ICDS, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer , ACD Rajesh Lakhan, CMO, Dr. G.A Malik, District Covid19 Nodal officer Zamood Ahmed, All Tehsildars, all BDOs, All BMOs and other concerned officers.The DC reviewed the status of vaccination in all blocks of Poonch District. He directed the concerned authorities to work in a mission mode to vaccinate left out persons above 45 year age.He asked the concerned to trace those living outside the district and find out the status of their vaccination.He also took stock of various healthcare and other necessary facilities being provided to Covid patients in Panchayat level Covid care Centers.The DC also released funds and put the same at the disposal of BDOs, CDPOs and Tehsildars to provide Covid19 protective gears to the employees engaged in the vaccination Process.He also reviewed 18+ Vaccination status and stressed on medical officers to expedite the vaccination of this group. This would help to increase the vaccination quota for the district.The DC also asked officers to enforce the Covid SOPs in the markets and public transport and charge the fine from the violators. He asked the Officers authorised to enforce Covid SOPs to impose the penalties on the violators, category wise, as notified by the government. The categories include persons not wearing face masks, those violating social distancing norms, violations in social and religious gatherings, spitting on the roads and drinking alcohol in public places.He also asked the police to take strict action against violators. He directed the BMOs, BDOs, CDPOs, Tehsildars and all concerned to divide the area for enforcing covid SOPs.The DC asked the concerned to procure Beds for PHCs and SDHs out of Covid Care fund to strengthen the rural health infrastructure and Covid care.He directed the BDO’s, CDPO’s, Tehsildar’s to create awareness among the public through IEC activities.DC appreciated the BMO Mendhar, SDM Mendhar and SHO Poonch, SHO Mandi, SHO Surankote and SHO Loran for their dedication in enforcing the Covid SOPs in the area under their jurisdiction.
