DC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma listens to people’s grievances at Nagseni Block

Kishtwar : To redress the grievances of people at their door steps, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today visited block Nagseni and conducted an interactive meeting with PRI members at tehsil office Padyarna with due observance of the COVID-19 protection protocols.Chairman Block Development Council, Nagseni Mohammad Ashraf Choudhary; DDC member Nagseni Faisal Ahmed; ACD Kishore Singh Katoch; Tehsildar Nagseni, Majid Jahangir; Block Development Officer Nagseni, Abhey Indu Sharma; Xen PMGSY Mohinder Singh Sen besides other District and Sectoral officers, PRI members and field functionaries of the concerned departments were present on the occasion.The BDC Chairman along with the other PRI members projected various issues of public importance and sought their early redress.

The main issues highlighted in the meet included restoration of water and power supply in the various Panchayats of the block Nagseni particularly Chhicha Bhella and Bhagna Panchayat, replacement of damaged electric poles in the Keru Chhicha and Piyas area, adequate water to areas of Kwar-arzi facing shortage, timely completion of Cherji to Pullar road and black topping of Bhagna road etc among others.The DC resolved several issues on the spot by passing a slew of directions to the concerned and forwarded the rest to the concerned authorities for prompt action.On the issue of the shortage of the drinking water facility in various panchayats, he directed the Jal Shakti department to complete the pending WSS projects of Panchayat Piyas and Bhagna on immediate basis.Executive Engineer PMGSY was directed to mobilise the men and machinery to complete the up-gradation and blacktopping of Bhagna road before coming winters.The DC called upon the ACD Kishtwar to ensure the completion of various MGNREGA works and complete the houses in the PMAY (G) scheme in a time bound manner to ensure that timely shelters are provided to the homeless.
