DC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma inspects civic works in Municipal areas

Kishtwar : To make a final ground assessment of development needs of the town, the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma and a team of Municipal authorities today took a round of the ward number 8 and inspected the ongoing development projects.He was accompanied by Vice president Municipal Council, Sanjeev Kotwal, EO Municipal Council, Tariq Balwan, Member MC ward number 8 Shahid Kripak, Xen PWD Ramesh Jamwal besides other officials of PHE and concerned departments.During the inspection, the DC Kishtwar inspected the construction and renovation of the drainage system from State Bank to Green Model public High school undertaken by PWD Kishtwar in the Territorial jurisdiction of this ward.

A slew of directions were passed to the PHE authorities for the removal of the encumbrances and impediments that are creating hurdles in the construction and up-gradation of drainage system in the said ward.On the occasion, the municipal councillor ward no 8 informed the DC about various other issues of public importance. The DC directed EO Municipal Council Kishtwar to make a concrete plan for all development projects besides ensuring the sanitation and cleanliness in the municipal wards.Further, he asked the concerned Authorities to remove encroachments in the municipal limits and take strict action against those who try to create hurdles in the eviction process.He appealed to the elected urban representatives to encourage the people to register for the PMJAY-SEHAT scheme as the CSC agency is conducting door to door registration drives in each ward.
