DC Kathua clears 32 route permit applications at RTA meeting

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of Regional Transport Authority, here at DC Office complex.After a detailed deliberation on the proposals for the new and change of route on existing permits (Stage carriage, 32 applications were approved by the Regional Transport Authority after scrutiny of 39 proposals. During the meeting, the demand regarding taxi stand projected by taxi operators was discussed and the DC directed the concerned to come up with a viable solution.

The DC was also apprised about the issue of lack of parking facilities and traffic management experienced by the locals in the central part of the Kathua town, which witnesses a huge rush of the vehicles thus causing traffic congestion. After giving patient hearing, the DC assured that the matter will be taken up with stakeholders for working out an amicable solution.RTO Kathua, DYSP HQ, DYSP Traffic, XEN PMGSY Billawar, XEN PWD, Basohli, DIO Kathua were present in the meeting.
