DC Doda, Vikas Sharma assess public problems at far off area of Gai Dessa

Directs PWD, PMGSY to formulate road connectivity project report for un-connected areas of Dessa area

Doda : Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma, today chaired the public outreach camp at Gai Dessa area of Tehsil Bhagwah, wherein he listened to the problems faced by the elected representatives and locals, besides reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental works under implementation of projects of the line departments.The DC while reviewing the status of road projects directed both the PWD and PMGSY Ex Ens to formulate a comprehensive project report of road connectivity in context of the left out habitations of Dessa area including all Panchayats, in coordination with PRIs, besides directed them to report at Gai Dessa on 6th of September alongwith their staff to listen the proposals of locals which needs to be taken care while formulation of the detailed project.Moreover the DC directed the PWD department to expedite the construction of ongoing Bimna bridge for its timely completion, besides asked to submit the reply on Parivesh portal with regard to the query raised by the forest department so that work on Gai to Dessa road via Mangalthata is expedited on priority.In addition to this the Ex En PWD informed the DC that project of 27 lac for pot filling has been submitted for Bhagwah to Bimna road as well as DPR for Gaadi Nalah bridge is also submitted, for which the DC directed the concerned to pursue the matter for timely execution of the works for the convenience of the general public and smooth plying of the vehicular traffic.

About the electrification in the Dessa area, the Ex En project wing apprised the DC that out of 21 habitations the work is on at 15-16 locations. At 02 locations transformers and HT lines have been installed in the last 10 days, besides at other locations the pole erection, pit digging, head loading of poles is going on.Moreover, the concerned apprised the DC that 21 transformers and other auxiliary essential items required for these 21 locations are available in the store.The DC directed the concerned to mobilise all men and machinery for the completion of these projects, as also complete the other locations so that inspection shall be done and simultaneously the completed stations will be charged on war footing basis.Moreover the Project Wing was directed by the DC to submit the list of habitations which are not included in the earlier DPR, to the JPDCL to so that they are simultaneously taken up. He further asked the concerned to submit the list to his office as well as to the elected representatives to let them know which habitations are left out for electrification.The DC also reviewed the status of water availability in the area and asked for restoration of the water supply scheme damaged while constructing the road.The DC also directed the concerned to enquire into the matter and to submit the report so that strict action shall be taken against the erring Officials of the executing department who have shown the laxity into the matter. Moreover, the Xen PHE department has apprised the DC that 3 phase DPR to address the water shortage in the area has already been formulated by covering all the areas, which shall be submitted to the concerned as soon as the board will be constituted.

Regarding ration availability in the area the TSO apprised the DC that the ration has been supplied, besides winter dumping shall be started in advance for this area from the next month and ration will be dumped for the next three months of harsh winter.During the proceedings and issue of non supply of ration for the month of March this year has been raised for which the DC showed serious concern and directed the Tehsildar to enquire into the matter and submit the report in this regard in 15 days to his office.During the camp, the elected representatives and locals also raised some grievances of public importance which includes poor mobile and internet connectivity, relief to the people of BPL category in flat electricity rates, payment of rents of the land acquired by the Army, registration of leftout beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme, shortage of staff in schools, formation of SHGs under NRLM, UMEED among women, besides other important issues were also discussed.With regard to registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat, the DC directed the Tehsildar to ask their Patwari to get all the required information from the beneficiaries so that he himself get it verified by calling a weekly meeting of VLWs and Asha workers, which will further submit it to the concerned Officers for approval.Moreover, the DC directed the Tehsildar to send a reminder correspondence to the Army Officials with regard to full payment of the rent of the entire actual acquired land and to send a copy of the same to his office also so that he shall also take the matter to their respective authorities for early solution to the matter.Among others present in the program are DDC member Bhagwah; BDC Chairperson, ACD Doda, Tehsdar Bhagwah, Xen PHE, Xen PWD, Xen Project Wing, Xen PMGSY, Sarpanches of Gai- Dessa area and other senior officials of various line departments.
