Block Divas resumes in district Samba amid adherence to covid-19 SOPs

Samba : The weekly block divas meeting was today resumed in district Samba amidst strict adherence to covid-19 safety protocols including social distancing and mask usage.Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Sharma listened and addressed the public grievances projected by the people. Several delegations from different Panchayats and individuals appraised the Deputy Commissioner regarding various issues. They demanded piped water connections, adequate power supply, maintenance and construction of rural roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes, besides other local issues.

The DC, taking cognisance of demands of the general public, directed line departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, progress achievements under govt sponsored schemes besides ensuring that all grievances are properly documented and action taken report is also submitted to her office. Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba Rajeev Magotra, BDC Chairman yogeswar Singh BDO Sahil Banotra, besides local Sarpanches, Panches and general public were also present.In another block divas meeting held in the district, Additional Deputy Commissoner Suram Chand Sharma, listened to grievances of locals at Village Rayor, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal Ramkesh Sharma chaired the block divas programme at Ghagwal.
