Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav :DC Bandipora felicitates Teachers during Cultural Programme

Bandipora : The District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with Department of School Education organized a cultural programme and felicitated teachers as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav celebrations. Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Abdul Roub Shad, Deputy Chief Education Officer Sheikh Gh. Mohammad, Tehsildar Bandipora, Tariq Ahmad, heads of various education institutions, teachers and school children from various schools participated with great enthusiasm and fervor.Students from various schools, on the occasion presented colorful cultural programs to thank teachers for their contribution in chiseling their future.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner lauded teachers for the outstanding work and remembered their contribution in shaping up the career of students. He appreciated the efforts of the teachers in the ongoing pandemic and said that despite all odds teachers tried their level best to teach the students with whatever means available so that the precious time of students is not wasted.

Dr Owais stressed upon the teachers to be the role models for their students and pay due attention to the students who are weak in learning. He called for strengthening the student teacher relation especially in light of evolving trends in the teaching profession.He also urged the students to utilize the services of the most talented and qualified teachers available in government schools so that they are able to compete at national and international level.The DDC said that smooth adoption and implementation of New Education Policy and new ideas in teaching methodology are vital for transforming the education sector.On the occasion Deputy Commissioner gave away awards to the best teachers of the district and appreciates their hard work and efforts in polishing the skills of the younger generation.This year’s best teachers award was given to Rafiq Ahmad Parray, Principal GHSS Bandipora, Asadulah Wani Senior Lecturer Higher Secondary School Aragam, Mohammad Ashraf Malla Head Master Govt High School Sumbal, Ab Sattar Magray High School Kudara, Ab Majeed Hajam Sumbal, Noor Mohamad Shiekh from Gurez Mushtaq Ahmad Hurra from Hajin and Hashir Tasleem.On the occasion Bashar AH Ganaie from MS Guzarbal was given a certificate of appreciation While Arsalan Habib was given Sanad-e-Tawseef for their best performance in organizing cultural activities.
