Atal Dulloo reviews PMDP projects in health sector

Jammu : Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, today reviewed status of several works being executed under Prime Minister’s Development Programme (PMDP) in the health sector in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.The meeting was attended by Director General Planning and Monitoring,  Satvir Kour Sudan;  Managing Director JKMSCL, Dr Yashpaul Sharma; Director Health Service Jammu, Dr Renu Sharma; Principal Government College Jammu, Dr Shashi Sudan; Chief Engineer (PWD) R&B, Ashok Kikloo and other concerned officers while Director Health Service Kashmir, Samir Matoo; Principal GMC Srinagar, Dr Samia Rahid; Principals of GMCs Anantnag and  Baramulla besides  Chief Engineer (PWD) R&B Kashmir participated through video conferencing.Financial Commissioner had elaborated discussion on status of various works being executed under all major projects undertaken by different executing agencies besides impediments hampering progress of these vital projects were also deliberated upon in detail.Financial Commissioner reviewed several projects being undertaken at district hospitals of Anantnag, Baramulla, Shopian, Reasi, Kishtwar and Ganderbal, Sub District Hospitals, Nagam, Charar-i-Sharief, Pakherpora in Budgam district, construction of additional girls hostel at GMC Jammu and other related works. He directed the executing agencies to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed within the set deadline.It was informed that durable infrastructure is being created in District Hospitals, Sub-District Hospitals and Primary Health Centres of the UT.  Besides, several ongoing and new health projects approved under current year’s financial assistance programme are also being expedited.
