Arvind Kejriwal regularizes contractual employees of Delhi Jal Board

New Delhi : In Delhi, Kejriwal government of Aam Aadmi Party has announced to regularize the jobs of all the temporary employees of the Jal Board. Kejriwal said that it has become a trend in the country to privatize government sectors. We have showed the importance of public sectors by improving the condition of government schools and hospitals in Delhi. Today the need is to reform public sectors, not to sell them. We can provide better facilities to the common people only by reforming the government sectors. Arvind Kejriwal said that nowadays a norm has been created in our country that government cannot run government schools, hospitals and companies. So, they hand them over to private companies or privatize them some other way.
AAP government in Delhi has proved that if the government is honest and have clear intentions, then it can successfully run government schools and hospitals and can also provide good facilities to the people through government employees. He said that the stereotype, that says that government employees don’t work once they are regular, is false. He said that he’s sure that regularised workers will work just as hard as before. In a statement issued from the Chandigarh Party Headquarters on Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann said that this decision of the Kejriwal government has given hope to thousands of temporary employees of Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party has always supported the protests of employees, ETT and TET teachers who have been struggling on the streets for their rights. In Punjab assembly also, AAP MLAs have raised the issue of temporary employees many times.
Mann promised that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab will regularize the temporary or contractual employees of all departments and to give them respectable salary.Mann said that the Channi government lied to 36000 temporary workers of Punjab that their jobs were regularized. While that file was still in the Governor’s office and later the Governor did not approve it. But in order to mislead the people, Chief Minister Channi put advertisements and hoardings all over Punjab and spent crores of rupees of tax payers’ hard earned money from the exchequer. The Congress has been promising to regularize the temporary and contractual workers for the last two elections, but after coming to the government, they lathicharged them. Mann said that our government will solve all the problems of temporary employees and unemployed youth. With the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, unemployed youth and temporary employees of Punjab will get freedom from dharna-demonstration and they will not have to suffer police batons for their demands and rights.
