New Delhi : Senior Aam Aadmi leader and Punjab co-in-charge Shri Raghav Chadha on Wednesday said that the AAP demands that the Central Government must immediately repeal these anti-farmer laws. He said that  “We believe that this power is with the Central Government under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and no committee or panel can do this work. He said that significantly we should note that all the four members of the Supreme Court-appointed panel to provide justice to the farmers have earlier supported these new farm laws; how can the farmers expect justice from these people. Shri Chadha said that BS Mann of this panel has not only supported these farm laws but also a close confidante of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that the AAP demands that in the next round of talks PM Modi should directly talk to the farmers and immediately repeal these anti-farmer laws.Shri Chadha said, “From the last 50 days thousands and thousands of farmers were sitting at the borders of Delhi and demanding the immediate repeal of the three antifarmer laws. In the last 50 days, more than 66 farmers were martyred. This clearly shows that more than one person has lost life in a day. We all know that yesterday the Supreme Court has passed some order on the issue of these antifarmer laws. But before talking about this I want to again reiterate that the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers till the last breath. We demand that the central government must immediately repeal these anti-farmer laws. We believe that this power is with the central government under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and he should act immediately. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that if the Modi government wants then these antifarmer laws can be repealed immediately and there is no need for interference of any other institution.”

He said, “There have been more than eight rounds of talks between the farmers and the BJP ruled central government. Agricultural Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal were present in the meetings. Despite eight rounds of talks, no solution came out because the intent of the Modi government is wrong. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that the Modi government does not want to repeal these antifarmer laws and that’s why all the eight talks between the farmers and the Modi government were of no use.”Shri Chadha said, “After the eight rounds of talks, Shri Tomar told the farmers to move Supreme Court to find a solution to the issue. The legislature, judiciary and administration are the three pillars of Indian democracy. When the matter came in front of the Supreme Court it came down heavily on the BJP ruled central government and then formed a four-member committee to solve the issue. The Supreme Court has also put an interim stay on these farm laws.Significantly we should note that all the four members of this panel have earlier supported these new farm laws. Someone who is a member of this panel earlier said that these farm laws are good and the protest by the farmers are happening because these farmers are misled. The question today is whether these people who have supported the farm laws all year will be able to provide justice to these protesting farmers or not. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that the central government under the BJP should repeal these laws immediately because they have the complete power to do so. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that the farmers will never get justice from this committee. The first member of this committee is Shri Ashok Gulati who is an agricultural economist. From the very first day shri Gulati has supported these laws through his writings, social media posts and TV interviews. He has clearly noted earlier that these farm laws will be beneficial for the farmers and the opposition parties have misled the farmers regarding these laws. He has also noted that because of the opposition parties the farmers are protesting against these three agricultural laws. The second member is Shri Pramod Kumar Joshi and he Had said that these farm laws are very much beneficial for the farmers. He had also noted that MSP is a non-implementable idea and the government should stop buying crops from the farmers. He has also noted that to develop MSP or to legalise it the government will need to develop a very complex structure which is not needed. He had also noted that if the BJP government amends these farm laws then it will impact the image of India in front of the world. The third member is Shri Anil Ghanwat. After these laws were passed Shri Ganpat sent a memorandum to the Modi government praising these laws. Earlier he has also supported and demanded the ending of APMC because he believes that APMC weakens the farmers. He had also noted that if the implementation of these new laws happens properly then this will give freedom to the farmers. He had also said that I and my organisation are standing with these farm laws and we are trying to appraise the farmers about these laws.

He said, “The fourth person is Shri Bhupender Singh Mann. On 14th December Sri Mann wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi where he said that he and his organisation will stand in support of these farm laws. He also said that these new laws should not be repealed at any cost. He also met the agricultural minister and said the same things. Shri Mann has another connection. From the very first day, the Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has a nexus with BJP and he is working as the agent of the BJP. Shri Mann is a confidante of Captain Singh. In 2017 election Shree Mann campaigned for Captain Singh and Captain Amarinder Singh appointed son of Shri BS Mann as a member of Punjab Public Service Commission. His son was also the chief of Punjab Congress IT cell chief and he played a key role in formulating the Congress manifesto for Punjab. This clearly exposes the corrupt nexus between Captain Amarinder Singh and Prime Minister Modi.”He said, “On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party I want to ask the citizens of Delhi and India whether they think that these people can bring justice or give justice to the farmers of India or not. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that these people cannot bring justice for the farmers and this is not a job of any panel but of the prime minister of India. The Aam Aadmi Party and the national convener of Aam Aadmi Party Shri Arvind Kejriwal demand that the central government should immediately repeal these antifarmer laws. We also demand that the Prime Minister of India Shree Narendra Modi should meet the farmers and talk to them regarding their issues. We demand that Shri Modi should immediately stop the proxy meetings with the farmers and talk to them openly. Today due to the ego and shameful silence of the BJP government the thousands of farmers are spending the festival of Lohri at the streets and borders of Delhi.”
