DC Udhampur conducts public outreach camp at Jaganoo

Udhampur : To provide governance at the people’s door steps and to ensure timely grievances redress at every level, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today conducted a public outreach cum grievances redress camp in Block Jaganoo.During the camp, BDC Chairman, Sanjeet Kumar, DDC Councillor, Prikshit Singh, District Officers and PRIs besides general public hailing from different adjoining Panchayats put forth their issues and demands, like Low voltage problem, Land compensation, repair of solar lights and hand pumps, Providing electric poles, Water logging problems, Pending payment of SSA, Black topping of various roads, Tarmara to pallan road connectivity, Installation of transformer, Regular drinking water supply, Up gradation of High school to Higher Secondary school, Construction of Veterinary Centre, paucity of drinking water, Establishment of ATM facility at Jaganoo, Appoint Doctor at PHC Jaganoo, Up gradation of PHC lab, Pending liabilities under MGNREGA, Establishment of Cocoon mandi at Jaganoo, Augmentation of drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, etc.

Responding to the demands and issues of PRIs, the DC issued on the spot instructions to the officers to look into these issues on priority. During the camp many grievances were redressed on the spot by intervention /directions to officers of concerned departments.The DC directed the officers of different departments to organize awareness camps in these areas to inform the general public about various govt. schemes and encourage them to avail maximum benefits of the same. While interacting with the public, the DC said that such platforms enable District administration to know the multifaceted problems being faced by the general public. She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and UT Government.
