He issued strict instructions to all the banks to clear the pendency on a fast-track basis. The Deputy Commissioner was chairing a meeting to review the progress of Self-employment schemes & quality of credit extension to various employment generation schemes in the district. At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a serious note of the non-serious approach of some banks regarding non-achievement of the previously conveyed targets. He made a number of observations including reports of improper crowd management in some Bank branches, delay in disposal of the pending cases of beneficiaries under various self-employment schemes, pendency in Aadhar seeding of beneficiaries’ bank accounts etc.
