DC Kishtwar reviews performance of Banks, line departments at DLRC, DCC meeting
Stresses on effective implementation of self-employment schemes

Kishtwar : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today reviewed the sector wise performance of banks and concerned departments here at District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting.Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Sham Lal, Joint Director Planning Mohd. Iqbal, GM DIC Kishtwar Khalid Hussain Malik, LDM Kishtwar Nasir Bhat, Cluster Head J&K Bank, the representatives from various Banks, besides concerned district officers attended the meeting.During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on achievements in priority and Non priority sectors vis a vis Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and other individual beneficiary Schemes.At the outset, the Lead District Manager (LDM) said the district has recorded Rs 79 Cr advances under annual District Credit Plan, Rs 57 crore under priority sector and Rs 22 Cr advances in non-priority sector.The DDC Kishtwar exhorted upon the Heads of banks and Line Departments to facilitate the poor and unemployed youth of the district to get timely advances under various govt. sponsored schemes.
He further asked the Bank Officials to collaborate with line departments for spreading mass awareness of different welfare schemes among the unemployed youth and poor sections of the society besides educating people about the social security schemes and enroll maximum beneficiaries under such schemes. The DC asked the concerned bank representatives and heads of line departments to submit the detailed report to the Committee as to why some cases have been rejected under various schemes and ensure zero pendency.In addition to this, the DDC directed the line departments to project the current progress in comparison to the last year achievements and in comparison to the other districts to assess their performance.DDC asked the DDM NABARD Nikhil Sharma to present the details of all developmental schemes and share them with the Line Departments particularly with departments of agriculture sector.The DC also asked the LDM to conduct the DLRC meetings monthly instead of quarterly henceforth.
