DC Bandipora reviews progress on PMDP Projects

Bandipora : Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad On Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review the status of developmental works being taken up under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) in the district.Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Parvaiz Rahim, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and other senior officers of the district were present on the occasion.It was given out in the meeting that land compensation of Rs 36 crore has been provided for the construction of the portion of Srinagar Semi Ring Road falling in Bandipora district. The officers informed the meeting that land has been handed over to NHAI and work is in progress.

The meeting was apprised that 75 kanals of land has already be handed over to Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction for the construction of 2-Rooms tenement for migrant employees and all the liabilities have been cleared regarding it.The meeting was further informed that about 3 Kanals of land for construction of Emergency Operation Centre has been identified and acquired near Mini Secretariat. Moreover three Kanals of land has been identified for construction of Sub Station at Arin and the demand for land acquisition has been raised for further action, as was laid down during this meeting.On the occasion DC Bandipora urged officers of revenue department to expedite the paper work with respect to the land acquisition so that work can be started at earliest.
