Lifepath of Chaar Sahibzaade is like a lighthouse for children to make their life more meaningful : Harjinder Kaur

Chandigarh : To mark the memory of the martyrdom of Chaar Sahibzaade, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) organized a special week long event named as “Veer Bal Diwas” which includes ‘Creative Workshop’, ‘Cricket Match’, ‘Showcase of Patriotic Movies’ in Snehalya, Maloya, Chandigarh to inculcate the creative, sportive skills and to enhance the inclusive growth of children residing in Child Care Institutions.Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR, Chandigarh highlighted “Children can learn a great by following the footprints of brave Char Sahibzade. The sacrifices of Chaar Sahibzaade at a tender age gives strength to fight against oppressors and have faith in the Almighty. In present scenario, along with focusing on academic aspect, children should learn some creative skills. This will enhance their way of thinking and will give them a sense of having broader outlook towards life.
Participating in sports will make them able to understand the significance of team work and sportsmanship. Children must have a feeling of patriotism to do their best for the service of humanity and country. ”The children from the resident home-Snehalaya and the girl children from Ashiana participated with in creative workshop which includes making of Pots and stylish earrings. Children of Snehalya and After care home participated with full zeal in Cricket match. Trophies were given to encourage children. At the end of the day of event, Patriotic movies ‘Char Sahibzade’ and ‘Kesari’ was showcased to children.Mr. Kartar Singh, Legal Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Chanchal Singh, RTE Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Arvind K. Dhawan, Senior Assistant, CCPCR, Mrs. Ankita, POCSO Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Shehkar, Clerk, CCPCR and all the staff of Child care institutes were present during these events.
