Aam Aadmi Party’s Kejriwal government will make Punjab peaceful, happy and prosperous : Raghav Chadha

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha blamed the Congress government for Punjab’s lax security system and termed the Channi government as a very weak and useless government. He claimed that the Congress government had completely failed to protect the people of Punjab.During the press conference held at the party headquarters on Thursday, Chadha said that Punjab is the land of the Gurus. The people of Punjab are peace loving people; Living together and mutual brotherhood is the beauty of Punjab. But some anti-Punjab forces are trying to spoil the peace, prosperity and brotherhood of Punjab every time near the elections. In 2017 too, just before the elections, there were bomb blasts in Maur and sacrilege incidents of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Quran Sahib. Similarly this time too, as the elections are approaching, some anti-Punjab forces are carrying out incidents of bomb blasts and sacrilege of religious scriptures to create an atmosphere of fear. There was an attempt of sacrilege at Sri Harmandir Sahib and an incident of bomb blast occurred in broad daylight in Ludhiana.

Chadha expressed concern over the incident of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Modi and said that PM Modi and BJP are extremely unpopular in Punjab. Our political ideology is also completely different from that of Modi and BJP but it is a matter of great surprise that there is a lapse in the security of the Prime Minister. However, the Prime Minister needed an excuse to cancel the rally as the chairs were completely empty at the rally. And the weak Congress government gave them the excuse of security. He demanded an impartial inquiry into the lapses in the security of the Prime Minister.Chadha attacked the Congress government, saying that the Channi government was so incompetent and weak that in a span of 100 days, four DGPs have been changed and every twelve hours a new list of transfer-posting is issued. Congress leaders, fighting among themselves for power, can never protect Punjab. He said that Punjab needs a government that provides peace and at the same time better security. Neither the weak Channi government nor the corrupt Badal government can do this work. He promised the people of Punjab that Aam Aadmi Party would give a stable and strong government to Punjab. The AAP government will fully protect Punjab and the people of Punjab and make Punjab peaceful, happy and prosperous again.Addressing the media, senior AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Congress government could not nab even a single culprit in the Maur blast and sacrilege case in the last five years. Rather, it is giving protection to the mafia and criminals. Had the culprits of the sacrilege, firing and bomb blast cases been punished, then no such a tragic incidents would have happened in Punjab today. He said that the traditional parties were trying to take votes from the people of Punjab by creating an atmosphere of panic and fear. But now the people of Punjab have understood their nefarious intention. This time the people of Punjab will not allow their malevolent desires to be fulfilled.
