Innovate, research, reform and perform: Shri Bandaru Dattatraya at international tech summit

Chandigarh : Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya has called upon engineers, scientists and tech experts to maintain the pace of ‘innovation, research, reform and perform’ so that India’s journey towards tech excellence and resilience remains intact. He was addressing the 2nd International Virtual Summit on ‘Tech4Seva: Technology Outreach as Enabler for Inclusive, Sustainable and Affordable Healthcare’ on Wednesday.“It gives me immense happiness to say that the pace with which technology is being used in our country, the day is not far off when our great nation will become ‘Tech Guru’ of the world. I call upon our engineers, scientists and tech experts to maintain the pace of ‘innovation, research, reform and perform’ so that India’s journey towards tech excellence and resilience remains intact,” said Shri Dattatraya.“The whole world realized the importance of technology like anything during Covid-19 pandemic. Yes, we have to admit the great fact that Technology for Sewa (Tech4Seva) has become the need of the hour,” said Shri Dattatraya, adding that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji recently launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to have a seamless online platform, which not only enables interoperability within the digital health ecosystem but also connects the digital health solutions of hospitals across the country.

He said that “all citizens will have a digital health ID and their health record will be digitally protected. Imagine the kind of impact Ayushman Digital Health Mission is going to have on our brothers and sisters living in far-flung areas of the country. They will get better health facilities now.”“We all will agree to the fact that quality, affordable and ethical healthcare is the right of every citizen. In this spirit, great progress has been made to ensure better healthcare for all in the last seven years. Deployment of innovation and technology for health and wellness will help in realising the dream of ‘Health for All’. Environment friendly and sustainable technologies are the need of the hour and a must for the survival of the human race,” added Shri Dattatraya.The Hon’ble Governor congratulated Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and Centre for Innovation and Bio-Design (CIBioD) for jointly organising this virtual international summit from October 20th to 23rd.“I am hopeful this summit brings together various stakeholders for the augmentation of national capacity with the application of health technology and innovation. Deliberations here will contribute immensely in achieving the dream of Swasth, Smridh and Sashakat Bharat,” said Shri Dattatraya.
