Ambala : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today inspected the construction progress of the Shaheed Smarak in Ambala, costing crores of rupees, and gave directions to officials. Sh Vij inspected the main entrance, conference hall, projector room, and other construction work details at the memorial.
During this, he obtained information about the progress from the construction agency staff present at the site. He directed the agency to expedite the work and complete it quickly. Sh. Vij also inquired about the construction work of the memorial tower, parking area, and other.
The staff of the construction agency informed Home Minister Anil Vij that the civil work at the Shaheed Smarak is in its final stages. After the completion of civil work, the art work will commence in the Shaheed Smarak.

Efforts made by Home Minister Anil Vij, the Shaheed Smarak, dedicated to the heroes of the 1857 revolution, is being constructed in Ambala. The Shaheed Smarak features a 63-foot high lotus-shaped memorial tower, which is nearing completion in the final stages. There will also be provisions to ascend the tower. The memorial will showcase the history of how the 1857 revolution began in Ambala, spread to Haryana and the country, and its impact will be vividly displayed.
