Ambala : Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij today took serious notice of an incident where the father of a CISF jawan in Tosham had his finger severed. He instructed the SP Bhiwani to take stringent action and ensured an independent investigation by an officer from outside Tosham to address the assault on the victim’s family.
During a redressal of public grievances in Ambala, Home Minister Anil Vij apprised by a CISF jawan that his father was attacked over a land dispute, resulting in the severing of one of his fingers. Although a case was filed, inadequate action led to threats against his family by the accused.
In another case, the current Sarpanch of Akalimpur village accused the former Sarpanch of manipulating MNREGA’s development works. Allegations suggested that despite the CM Flying Squad registering a fraud case against the former Sarpanch, leniency from the police led to bail for the accused. An SIT was formed by the Home Minister to investigate this matter.
Additionally, a complaint from Akalimpur village alleged the former Sarpanch of rigging, followed by an assault. SP Nuh was directed by the Minister to intervene. A complaint from Karnal revealed a depot holder continuing to obtain rations for a year and a quarter after the death of the cardholder’s wife. Anil Vij instructed the Food and Supplies Department to take necessary action.
Regarding a fraud case amounting to Rs 30 lakh linked to sending an individual to America, a Karnal resident informed Minister Anil Vij about fraudulent activities in immigration fraud. The Minister directed the SIT, established for such cases to act promptly.
Other complaints ranged from conflicts between groups in Rewari to property acquisition disputes in Yamuna Nagar and Ambala City, assaults reported in Nuh and Jhajjar, vandalism and theft allegations in Jind, and non-payment claims in Kurukshetra. Minister directed concerned officials to address these complaints and cases that surfaced during the public hearing.
