Haryana’s Home Minister Anil Vij Lays Foundation Stone for Modern Maheshnagar Police Station

Focuses on Enhancing Facilities and Infrastructure for a Robust Police Force

Ambala : Haryana’s Home Minister, Anil Vij, said that the aim is to make the Haryana Police a modern force, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. To provide a better environment at the workplace, all new police buildings in Haryana will have provisions for gyms and central air-cooling systems for the staff.

Sh. Vij addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone for the new Maheshnagar police station building in Ambala Cantonment costing 4.62 crores on Wednesday. He said that as per the resolve taken by the Prime Minister to develop India by the year 2047, we need to plan how our police force should be by that time.

The mapping of police buildings, such as posts and other facilities, will be done on the lines of the Health Department’s in Haryana. Determining where police posts and stations should be based on the population will be part of this arrangement. *Providing the police with better environments and modern facilities will yield positive results and benefit the public.

He emphasized that Maheshnagar police station has been in existence for several years. Now, an ultramodern Maheshnagar police station, equipped with modern facilities, will be built on two acres along the Ambala-Jagadhri road, benefiting not only the police but also the people in the surrounding areas.

Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that the Maheshnagar and Sadar police station areas are quite extensive. Keeping this in mind, Maheshnagar Police Station-One and Maheshnagar Police Station-Two will be established, and similarly, under the Sadar area, Sadar Police Station-One and Sadar Bazar Police Station-Two will be set up.

Proposals for this arrangement have been submitted. This setup is designed to make it convenient for people to access their work and for the police to carry out law enforcement more efficiently. This arrangement is being made for the entire Haryana, which includes the revitalization of not just new stations but also posts.

He mentioned that the Haryana Police Housing Corporation will construct the Maheshnagar police station, which will be ready within one and a half years. It will have three floors with 25 rooms, including separate rooms for SHO, munshi, women, and children, along with a canteen, mess, cyber room, and all modern amenities. There will also be parking and other facilities available there.

Home Minister Anil Vij expressed that actions speak louder than words, and he is engaged in the task of uplifting and developing his city. He mentioned that the departments he oversees or previously managed have benefited the people of the Chhachhrauli assembly constituency.

As the Home Minister, renovations of police stations and posts are being carried out. Under the Health Department, outstanding medical facilities, such as the best Civil Hospital in North India, Cancer Care Center, and other medical amenities, have been provided.

Under the Sports Department, facilities like the FIFA-approved international-level football stadium, all whether Swimming Pool, gymnastics hall, the construction of Subhash Park under the Urban Local Bodies Department, multi-level car parking, setting up excellent dairy complexes, canal water supply from Jansui Head to Kalerheri, yoga centers, Science Museum, and other facilities under the Technical Department have been provided.

Alongside these, various other projects like Shaheed Smarak, Naggal’s NCD lab, and other initiatives are included.

On this occasion, MD of the Police Housing Corporation, Dr. R.C. Mishra, welcoming the arrival of Home and Health Minister Anil Vij, stated that under his leadership, efforts have been made to make Haryana Police stronger and more robust. Continuous efforts are being made to keep Haryana Police at the forefront.

When it comes to facilities like comfort in police stations, digital systems, cyber systems, and other facilities, Haryana Police is leading. Dr. R.C. Mishra stated that Home and Health Minister Anil Vij’s vision is to provide the police with the best facilities, and he is working towards it.

During the construction of the police station today, he highlighted the provision of gym facilities and central air cooling systems in the upcoming police stations in Haryana. He mentioned that before 1988, construction of police buildings and structures related to the police department was done by the Public Works Department.

However, now the construction of these buildings is being done by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation. In the last two years alone, the Haryana Police Housing Corporation has built residences for 14,265 police employees and officers, and this year, over a thousand more residences have been constructed.

Approximately 161 new police stations, 18 new police posts, 13 new police lines, and four training centers, including Madhuvan in Hisar, Bhodsi, and Sunaria, 26 women police stations, 25 traffic police stations, police DAV schools in 21 districts, and other facilities for police department employees and their children have been made available.

This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan for all of Haryana, which includes the modernization of not just new stations but also the rejuvenation of existing posts. He said that when the police, public, and media work together, they can work for the welfare of society, and this fundamental principle is what they are pursuing.

IG Ambala Range, Sibas Kabiraj, welcomed Chief Guest Home Minister Anil Vij, stating that efforts are being made by the Police Department and employees to provide better facilities. The Home Minister is committed to this cause, and positive results are evident. New stations, the renovation of posts, and other work are underway.

During the program, Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa thanked the Chief Guest for his presence, acknowledging that the Ambala Police, under the leadership of the Home Minister, is continuously working towards preventing drug abuse.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, Chief Engineer Sanjay Mahajan from the Police Housing Corporation, SDM Ambala Cantonment Lalit Sareen, Executive Engineer Sanjeev Verma, Executive Engineer Rajpal Saini, DSP Ashish Chaudhary, DSP Ram Kumar, DSP Arshdeep Singh, Mandal Pradhan Rajeev Dimple, Mandal Pradhan Bijendra Chauhan were also present.
