Home Minister Anil Vij inspected the ongoing construction projects, including the Shaheed Smarak, Science Center, Football Stadium, and Hospital buildings, accompanied by relevant departmental officers

Ambala : Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij undertook an inspection of the ongoing construction work at the Shaheed Smarak, Aryabhatta Science Center, FIFA-approved Football Stadium, and a 200-bedded building at Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital. He directed the Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department to accelerate progress on all these projects, and he will now conduct weekly inspections to monitor the development’s advancement.
Sh. Vij initially inspected the Shaheed Smarak, a multi-crore project on GT Road in Ambala. During the visit, the Superintendent Engineer informed him about the ongoing tender process for artwork in the Shaheed Smarak. An allocation of Rs 149 crore has been earmarked for this artistic work.
The Home Minister instructed the Superintendent Engineer to expedite any pending tasks, increase the workforce, and ensure round-the-clock work. He also sought information on improving drainage around the Smarak.
Subsequently, the Home Minister visited the Aryabhatta Science Centre and directed to the officials to expedite work there. To enhance the viewability of the stadium from the road, Minister Anil Vij instructed the installation of toughened glass.
Additionally, Anil Vij inspected the War Heroes Memorial Stadium. He consulted with the contractor and departmental officers, instructing them to break walls and install toughened glass where shops had been removed in front of the stadium.
This would allow the splendid interior of the stadium to be visible from the outside road. He also directed the Superintendent Engineer to increase the labour force and expedite the installation of roofing, seating, lighting, and other facilities.
Officials informed the Minister that an imported athletic trough from Italy would soon be set up in the stadium. Sh. Anil Vij said this football stadium is the best in Northern India. The stadium would also host international day-night matches.

Health Minister Anil Vij inspected the ongoing construction of a 200-bed building at the Civil Hospital and ordered an acceleration of the work. He emphasized the establishment of a critical care center and other patient facilities in this building.
He instructed for work to continue around the clock and noted that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Defense Ministry is pending to secure 14 acres of land next to the hospital. A Dharamshala, costing Rs 10 crore, will be constructed on this land to accommodate family members of cancer patients.
During the inspection, SDM Satindra Siwach, Superintendent Engineer Navneet Nain, DSP Ashish Chaudhary, PMO Rakesh Sahal, Dr. Vinay Goyal, DSO Ramniwas, Sports Cell Chairman Arun Kant Sharma, Additional Director of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Dr. Kuldeep Saini and other officers were present.
