Ambala : Despite the cancellation of the regular Janata Darbar, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij continues to address the grievances of people from across the state who flock to his residence daily. Today, he met with people who came from various districts and directed the concerned officials to take prompt and decisive action on their complaints. A woman from Yamunanagar alleged that her 20-year-old daughter was lured away from home by an accused who had illicit relations with her and wanted to convert her.
Home Minister Anil Vij instructed the Yamunanagar SP to take immediate action in the matter. A family from Karnal asked Home Minister Anil Vij for police protection for their safety. Home Minister Anil Vij informed the family that providing police security and gunmen is the job of the CID department, which is not under his jurisdiction. A student in America was defrauded of Rs 28 lakh in the name of college admission.
Home Minister Anil Vij handed over the investigation to the SIT formed for immigration fraud. Lawyers from Bahadurgarh complained to Home Minister Anil Vij that they were assaulted by some people, but the police registered a case against the lawyers instead of taking action on their complaint. The Home Minister directed the SP to constitute an SIT in the matter and investigate.
Similarly, a Mahant and a temple priest from Kurukshetra complained about the forceful occupation of temple land by some people. The Home Minister directed the concerned officers to take action in the matter. Several other complaints were also brought before Home Minister Anil Vij, and he directed the concerned officers to take action in each case.
