Chandigarh : Home Minister Anil Vij said that Bajrang Punia should neither return his medal nor quit playing. Sh. Vij expressed that the medal rightfully belongs to Bajrang Punia, and he should keep it while continuing to participate in the sport.
During interactions with media persons, Vij mentioned that if Bajrang Punia has any issues, he can voice it while continuing to compete the sports. However, he should not return the medal or cease playing. It’s noteworthy that Bajrang Punia returned a medal recently.
Moreover, regarding statements by Congress leaders claiming devotion to Lord Ram, Anil Vij remarked, “Congress leaders are like ‘Ganga went to Gangadas, Yamuna went to Yamunadas.’ They initially opposed the construction of the Ram temple, and Kapil Sibal even filed an affidavit in court stating that Ram is a mythical figure. Now, they are racing to somehow move ahead.”
Regarding the suspension of MPs, Home Minister Anil Vij highlighted that the Speaker, who oversees the functioning of the Parliament and Assemblies, can remove those causing disruptions in the House, and this is not a new practice.
