Anil Vij, Announces Expansion of Saha Growth Center, Enhancing Infrastructure for Ambala’s Science Industry

Ambala : Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, said that everything in Ambala depends on Ambala’s science industry, and for the encouragement of entrepreneurs, the state government is planning to purchase 2300 acres of land for the expansion of the Saha Growth Center.
Transportation is improving for the science industry, as the construction of a new freight terminal on the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor is in progress, he added. Sh. Vij addressed the science entrepreneurs of Ambala during the launch program of Asima’s (Ambala Scientific Instrument Manufacturer Association) digital directory last late evening.
Home Minister Anil Vij stated that Ambala’s science industry has propelled big doctors, engineers, space scientists, and others forward, owing to the microscopes or other equipment produced by Ambala’s science industry. The science industry in Ambala has a significant contribution to Ambala’s development.
He said that Ambala’s industries now have access to electricity, water, transportation, and other facilities, which has increased business. Roads are being constructed in Ambala; the Ambala-Saha road has been widened, making it easier for entrepreneurs to travel to the Sahaa Growth Center from Ambala.
Similarly, the construction of Ring Road, Ambala to Delhi via Shamli Expressway, Ambala-Kala Amb, and Ambala-Chandigarh Greenfield Expressway is underway. Efforts are being made to connect Ring Road to Highway number 152-D.

Sh. Vij said, “America is not rich because it has good roads; it has good roads because America rich.” If we provide better infrastructure, it will benefit Ambala’s science industry. A domestic airport project has commenced in Ambala, and efforts are being made to start air services from here within four to five months. We have resolved the electricity and water issues in Ambala. Today, Ambala has electricity, water, roads, and other facilities, and the facilities required for an industry are available, he added.

Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned that the science industry is currently grappling with the problem of a lack of skilled labor, which is a challenge for the industry. When he was the Technical Education Minister, he ordered the start of two courses in Hindi in Ambala to enable better understanding of things in the local language.
Now, as per the new education policy, subjects can be studied in our native language, so he initiated this. Similarly, he secured approval for B.Sc. Nursing and M.Phill in GNM College to provide good education to the children of Ambala.

Home Minister Anil Vij said that a few months ago, the industrial area of Ambala Cantonment suffered considerable damage due to floods. To prevent further damage from floods, a new embankment will be constructed on the Tangri River at the periphery of the industry area, and the government has approved this. Efforts are being made to prevent further damage from floods, he said.

During the program, Asima requested financial assistance for the construction of their new office, and Home Minister Anil Vij assured them of building the office and announced a donation of ten lakh rupees from his discretionary funds in the initial phase of construction.
Prior to this, Home Minister Anil Vij launched Asima’s digital directory by scanning the QR code. He said that digitalization is the need of the hour, and the coming time is of artificial intelligence. He hopes that the industry will also establish new dimensions in the technical field. He emphasized focusing on research and development in the science industry and assured that the government fully supports this endeavor.

During the program, Home Minister Anil Vij recounted a story from before the construction of the Saha Growth Center. He mentioned that initially, there was an Industrial Estate in Ambala, and similarly, when Bansi Lal was the Chief Minister, there was a debate in the assembly regarding shifting the Growth Center from Bawal to Ambala, and at that time, the debate was with the local MLA.
At that time, Chief Minister Bansi Lal stood in the assembly and said, “The Growth Center will be established where Anil Vij says.” Initially, entrepreneurs did not go to the Growth Center, but now it has been well developed.
Before this, upon arrival at the program, Asima members welcomed Home Minister Anil Vij and honored entrepreneurs who have done excellent work. On this occasion, GST Commissioner Rajan Datt, Asima’s President Vikram Chaudhary, Saha Industry Association President Rajbir Chaudhary, former head Sanjay Gupta, Ambala Cantt SDM Lakshit Sareen, GST DC Shikshadip Randhawa and a large number of science entrepreneurs were present.
