Jai Ram Thakur addresses virtual rally of Solan BJP Mandal

The paucity of funds would not come in way of development as the State Government would ensure that under construction developmental projects will be completed within a stipulated time period. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the virtual rally of BJP Solan Mandal of Solan district through video conferencing from Shimla today . Jai Ram Thakur said that at one stage the State was about to become corona free state, but due to the arrival of people of the State stranded in different parts of the country it increased manifold. He said that this was unavoidable as the Government could not afford to leave its people in distress. He said that still the people need not worry as there was no community spread as all the covid-19 positive cases were those who have travel history or their primary contacts.The Chief Minister said that the State Government as well as the BJP have ensured optimum use of technology to keep contact and liaison with the people of the State.

The State Government was regularly holding video conferences with the various elected representatives of Panchayati Raj and Urban Local Bodies and district officers. This has not only ensured proper monitoring of developmental projects, but also helped in effectively fighting Covid-19 pandemic.Jai Ram Thakur thanked the people of the Solan Vidhan Sabha area for preparing and distributing about 1.32 lakh masks. He said that the people have also generously contributed towards the HP SDMA Covid-19 State Disaster Response Fund’ and PM CAREs. He said that active cooperation by the people of the State was helping in fighting the corona virus more effectively.
He said that the State Government has given several relaxations in the lockdown-1, but the tourists were not allowed to come to the State for the time being. He said that the Government has also not allowed temples and other religious places to open as this may affect social distancing. He urged the people to sincerely follow advisories issued by the Central and State Governments from time to time to check spread of the virus.The Chief Minister said that Government has adopted zero tolerance policy towards corruption. He said that it was strange that the Congress leaders were making much hue and cry regarding the alleged health scam. As soon as the matter came to the notice of the Government, action was taken against the then Director of Health, he added.Jai Ram Thakur said that a Congress leader of the area was even trying to rake up this issue in a bid to gain political mileage. The leader of Opposition was posing that he had vast experience of running the Government. He advised the Congress leader first have a look at the situation in the Congress ruled States and then question the State Government. He said that the Congress party was a leaderless party where everyone was trying to project himself as the leader of the Congress. The Chief Minister said that several historic decisions have been taken by the Modi Government to make India a self reliant and self sufficient Nation. He said that hydroxychloroquine being manufactured at Baddi in Solan district was not only meeting the requirements of the country but was also being exported to about fifteen other countries.Referring to the development of Solan area, the Chief Minister said that Rs. 32 crore was spent on various developmental works by Public Works Department alone besides Rs. 30 crore by Jal Shakti Department on different irrigation and drinking water supply schemes of the area. BJP leader from Solan Dr Rajesh Kashyap urged the Chief Minister to strengthen the Civil Hospital Solan since it was catering to the health requirements of people of Solan as well as Sirmaur districts.
