Bandaru Dattatreya inaugurates SBI ATM at Raj Bhavan

The Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Anukool Bhatnagar and the senior officials of North India Circle of SBI called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today. On the occasion, the Governor held a detailed discussion with the bank officials on the banking facilities being extended to the general customers especially in agriculture and tribal areas in the State.The Governor expressed satisfaction that SBI is fully using technology in the banking sector and more than 90 percent of its customers were using online apps, which was beneficial during this pandemic. He said that the bank should implement separate beneficial schemes especially for women, tribal areas and for scheduled castes. He said that other scholarship schemes like Vidya Portal need to be made more effective.Shri Dattatraya said that the coverage of the bank should be expended for the poor and farmers of the state. He said that SBI has established more than 600 ATMs in the state so that people could get the facility of withdrawal. He said that services were also being provided to customers through the “Yono app”. The bank was promoting digital India and doorstep banking was also being promoted in the state. Apart from this, Jan Dhan Yojana and Atal Pension Scheme have been made effective in the State.Secretary to the Governor Rakesh Kanwar, General Manager, SBI Vinod Kumar Mishra, Deputy General Manager Pawan Kumar, Assistant General Manager Satinder Kumar Chabra, Chief Manager, SBI, Secretariat Branch Dhamender Baru and other officials of SBI were also present on the occasion.
