Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting held

Shimla : Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting constituted for the implementation of Swarnim Himachal Drishti Patra-2017 was held here today under the chairmanship of Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj. Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur was also present in the meeting.On this occasion, Suresh Bhardwaj said that to ensure the implementation under Swarnim Himachal Drishti Patra-2017 the targets of Home and Finance Department were reviewed today. He informed that the implementation of various targets have been ensured by the Home Department. In order to realize the vision of corruption-free Himachal ‘Atal Helpline-1064’ was started by the government. Under this, any person can lodge complaints related to corruption. This helpline have been made functional for 24 hours. Along with this, complaints could also be lodged through the Chief Minister Seva Sankalp Helpline.Suresh Bhardwaj informed that while ensuring the implementation of Swarnim Himachal Drishti Patra-2017 Gudiya Scheme is being implemented for ensuring safety of women. For this, 11 women police stations have been made fully functional in different districts of the state and the women police officers themselves are investigating crime against women. The police department is providing the facility to women that they do not need to go to the police station for registering their complaints. Women can register their complaint through WhatsApp, Goodiya Helpline and online mediums.
The Urban Development Minister said that 70 police posts have been designated as Reporting Police Posts so that people do not have to visit the police station to register FIR. A provision of Rs one crore has been made for this.The Gudiya helpline and Shakti Button app have been launched to ensure the safety of women, to prevent crimes against them and to provide police assistance to women in distress in case of crime. Out of 4035 complaints received from January 26, 2018 to June 24, 2020 through the Gudiya helpline, 3985 have been resolved and the remaining are under process. During the last two and a half years, 3638 complaints received through Shakti Button App have also been resolved.He said that started to curb forest, mining and drug mafia ‘Hoshiar Singh Helpline-1090 has been started. During last two and half years out of 2637 complaints received through it 2628 have been resolved.The Urban Development Minister said that fellowship and internship programs would be started in government departments and public representative offices to increase the participation of youth in the nation building and development planning process. He directed the Finance and Planning Department to draft and submit a plan in this regard within two months.Principal Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma and Secretary Finance Akshay Sood were also present in the meeting.
