Rayat Bahra University gets new modern gymnasium

Mohali : Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, inaugurated the newly built central gymnasium for boys and girls to facilitate the students and staff with modern exercise equipment. Speaking on the occasion, Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that the gymnasium would provide the students access to a professionally run environment that will help them develop their mental fortitude, physical endurance, and self-confidence as well as help them avoid negative effects of smoking, drinking, drug use while also fostering discipline in their lives.
Vice-Chancellor, Dr Parvinder Singh stressed that students must utilize this facility to lead a healthy lifestyle. He said the university always lays emphasis on the physical and mental wellbeing of the students. Dr. SK Bansal dean academic, other deans, directors and faculty members were also present at this moment. Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean of Students Welfare, highlighted the significance of physical fitness and stated that the Central Gymnasium facility was the best way to channelise the energy of the youth in the right direction while providing them with creative joy and happiness.
During the inaugural ceremony, a bodybuilding talent show was organised. Students presented a cultural programme on the occasion. They also presented western and traditional dances. The Chancellor, on this occasion, honoured the sportspersons who won State and National awards in different sports categories.
