CSE team lifts cricket trophy at RBU

Mohali : A three-day Cricket Championship-2023 concluded at the newly built Cricket Ground of the Rayat Bahra University.  A total of 16 teams participated in this championship after being scrutinized by sports instructors Kulbir Singh, Ramanjot Kaur and Shubhmeet Gill.

Team of the Department of Computer Science Engineering lifted the trophy and a cash prize while the team of University Polytechnic got the runners up trophy and cash prize. During the opening ceremony, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chief Guest of the occasion, formally inaugurated the newly built cricket ground.

Speaking on the occasion, Bahra said that this cricket ground was a Diwali gift for students and he wanted the students to practice regularly on the ground and dream high to reach at national and international level. The Chancellor felicitated staff members working at the cricket ground.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh said the RBU keeps adding various amenities in the best interests of the students.  He congratulated the players and management for creating a sports ecosystem in the university. Dean Students Welfare Dr Simerjit Kaur welcomed the dignitaries and underlined the importance of sporting activities for the students.
