As our university takes a global stage with various international support initiatives and student exchange programs, securing the 17th rank at the global pedestal is a reaffirmation of the contribution that our faculty has been able to make and the change that we have been able to drive in the field of higher education”.
World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI), the ranking system established by the Organizing Committee of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU). WURI evaluates the university’s real contributions to the society, highlighting creative and innovative approaches of universities’ research and educational programs based on the following six categories: 1. Industrial Application 2. Value-Creating 3. Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Integrity 4. Student Mobility and Openness 5. Crisis management 6. Progress during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The WURI ranking is composed of the global top 100 and top 50 in each of the above mentioned six categories. While traditional ranking systems heavily weigh on the quantitative metrics for evaluating universities, such as the number of journal publications and the employment rate of graduates, WURI accounts for the more qualitative aspects by evaluating the innovative programs of universities.
The World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI), which aims to discover innovative universities that prepare for the world in the fourth industrial revolution through new education and research efforts, released its first ranking on June 11’2020, in both Switzerland and South Korea.
