Training programme in Pharmacovigilance organised by CCP, CGC Landran

Landran : A three day training programme in Pharmacovigilance was organised by Chandigarh College of Pharmacy (CCP), CGC Landran, in association with Makeintern and E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur. The programme facilitated the selection of four students from CGC to participate in a zonal championship on the subject to be organised at the IIT Kharagpur campus in July 2023.

More than 50 students participated in this certification programme. The training was conducted by Mr Karisetty Basappa, a seasoned, professional training expert in Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Data Management and Health Economics and Outcome Research.

The workshop provided students with hands-on training as well as detailed lectures on major aspects of Pharmacovigilance, Adverse Drug Reactions & reporting and career prospects. The students also received training on narrative writing, case processing labelling assessment among others.

The programme concluded with a workshop assessment test, post which, four students from CCP, CGC were adjudged winners based on their score in this test. The winners were Aastha, B.Pharma, 6th Semester, Dikshant, B. Pharma, 6th Semester, Ashutosh M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics), 2nd Semester and Komal, M.Pharm (Pharmacology), 2nd semester.
