CGC Jhanjeri organized workshop on Lifestyle Disorders, lifestyle disease & risk factors were discussed along with preventive measures

Mohali : Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized workshop on Lifestyle Disorders. The chief guest at the moment was Dr. Mehraaj Sandhu, Neuropsychiatris and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Nancy Sahni, Chief Dietitian, Dr. Ritu Pradhan Associate Professor, Mr. Gagan Verma Fitness Coach were also present at the moment and gave the information about Lifestyle Disorders and holistic health.
Experts guided the students by a moderator and followed by a Q&A . This workshop allowed students to reflect and think critically and adopt positive habits.Keynote speakers informed at the moment that there is an increasing incidence of diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, behavioral problems, high cholesterol, and obesity affecting even younger people.
The changed living habits due to increasing job requirements, a sedentary lifestyle, and competitive living are the main culprits coming in the way of the golden rules of good living. People who fall victim to this new phenomenon get trapped with certain diseases at a younger age and these lifestyle disorders became the reason of the diseases associated with unhealthy and inappropriate lifestyles.
Arsh Dhaliwal, MD CGC Jhanjeri, guided the students about the equal contribution of physical exercise and mental health in the healthy lifestyle. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC appealed the students to walk on the path directed by the keynote speakers.
He further added that this workshop will help in holistic development of the students by letting them learn about the current situations, root causes, and prevention of these lifestyle disorders.
