On Bittu’s CBI threat, Warring says, BJP candidate feels demoralised, defeated already
Remarks, being a neo-convert to BJP, Bittu will try to be more loyal than the king

Ludhiana : Punjab Congress president and party candidate from Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that his BJP rival Ravneet Singh Bittu by threatening to get a CBI case registered against him had actually admitted the defeat much before the elections.
“Only a defeated and demoralised person can resort to such hollow threats to intimidate his opponents and that is precisely the case with BIttu as he is feeling demoralised and defeated, already”, he observed. “Being a neo-convert to the BJP, Bittu will naturally try to be more loyal than the king and threaten his political opponents with CBI cases as that is the standard way of functioning of the BJP”, he remarked.
Replying to a question that Bittu had threatened to get an old case reopened through the Punjab Chief Minister and also get it investigated by the CBI, Warring said, he (Bittu) has only proved him (Warring) right.
“How can anyone say it with so much confidence that he can get the case reopened through the Chief Minister, unless he enjoys special support and patronage?” he asked, while observing, this is obviously because he is enjoying the AAP government’s support and patronage despite being a BJP candidate.
The PCC president said he was not surprised about his CBI threat, as Bittu being a “neo-convert” to the BJP will try to do things more aggressively to show his loyalty to the new masters by trying to be more loyal than the king.
He pointed out, the BJP is known for using the investigating agencies like the CBI, the ED and the Income Tax against its political opponents. “There is nothing surprising about Bittu taking out a leaf from the BJP copybook and threatening me with the CBI”, he remarked, while adding, “this is just the beginning, he may even threaten me about the ED and the Income Tax also”.
But, the PCC president asserted, “I am not a fugitive, who will run away, rather I am fond of taking the challenge head on”. IN any case, he added, Bittu’s dream of unleashing the central investigating agencies on his political opponents is going to be shattered on June 4, when both Bittu and the BJP will be defeated in the elections.
