DLRC meeting for quarter ended September 2025 held at Poonch
The District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the quarter ended September 2025 of FY 2025–26 was convened by the Lead Bank Office Poonch under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The meeting reviewed the performance of banks under the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and the progress of the Government-sponsored schemes in the district. At the outset, Lead District Manager (LDM) Sanjeev Rasotra presented a comprehensive overview of the banking performance.
He informed that banks in Poonch district have achieved a total business of ₹6,623.03 crore as on 30 September 2025. He highlighted that deposits increased from ₹4,029.26 crore (30.09.2024) to ₹4,310.99 crore (30.09.2025), registering a YOY growth of 6.9%, while advances rose from ₹2,100.20 crore to ₹2,312.04 crore, showing a YOY growth of 10.1%.
The Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio stood at 53.63%. Under the Annual Credit Plan for FY 2025–26 (up to 30.09.2025), the banks disbursed ₹713.51crore against an annual target of ₹905.60 crore, achieving 79% of the annual target. Priority Sector lending stood at ₹282.49 crore against a target of ₹702.31 crore (40%), while Non-Priority Sector lending achieved ₹431.02 crore against a target of ₹203.29 crore (212%).
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman DLRC directed banks and sponsoring agencies to significantly improve Priority Sector lending, especially under Mission Yuva, to promote self-employment among unemployed youth. He also emphasized scaling up lending under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to promote renewable energy.
The Chairman further stressed vigorous implementation of Social Security Schemes PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY to ensure maximum coverage. Special emphasis was also laid on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), urging banks and line departments to enhance farmer awareness and enrolment to mitigate agricultural risks.
The meeting also reviewed the status of unclaimed deposits, and banks were directed to intensify awareness campaigns and settlement drives so that rightful beneficiaries can claim pending amounts at the earliest. Unbanked Rural Centres (URCs) were discussed in detail, with strong emphasis on improving banking outreach, service delivery and financial inclusion in these areas through coordinated efforts of banks, BCs, CFLs, and district administration.
The meeting was attended by Naima Bhatti, GM DIC Poonch; Abdul Majeed Tantray, Deputy Director Employment; Anil Kumar, LDO RBI Jammu; Chander, DDM NABARD; Ritesh Sharma, Cluster Head J&K Bank Poonch; Amarjeet Singh, Regional Manager Grameen Bank; Radhey Sham, Director RSETI J&K Bank Poonch along with senior officers from Agriculture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, JPDCL, DUDA, NRLM, KVIB, Handicrafts & Handloom Departments and other district offices.
District Coordinators of all banks, officers from various Government departments, and representatives from FLCC and CFL also actively participated in the meeting. The DLRC concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen credit flow, enhance priority sector lending, expand insurance and social security coverage, address unclaimed deposits and deepen financial inclusion particularly in URC areas for the overall economic development of Poonch district.
